Naming conventions apply to this assignment as well (refer to Assignment 7 for details).
You will work on the same database you submitted on Assignment 7. Therefore, you will need all the tables, forms, queries, and reports you designed before. However, save it under a different name, so that when you post it on your public_html both it doesn't delete your previous assignment.
CASE 1 A3.36 – Ashbrook Mall Information Desk
Follow instructions (except for printing, which is not required as you already know!) on the book (Text 2), In addition (or instead, depending on the case), do the following:
Step 4 – Do not remove the filter!
Step 5 – Order this query by Location, not store.
Step 6 – Save this query with a different name, so you can get credit for both steps.
Step 7 – Go back to the query you selected on step 13 of Assignment 7, and modify it so that it shows the name of the store instead of the number. Save it with the same name.
Step 8 – Do not exit the database, as you will be needing it to solve the next case.
Follow instructions (except for printing, which is not required as you already know!) on the book (Text 2), In addition (or instead, depending on the case), do the following:
Step 3 – Choose the format you like the best.
Steps 6-7 – This steps are not required, but are recommended if you want to learn how to work with subforms. Those who decide to work on them will receive extra credit. You can choose the styles you want in designing your form, not necessarily those requested by the book.
Step 9 – Use the styles you prefer, as long as you display the information requested in the report.
Step 11 – Email the URL of your assignment (see Assignment Drop Box). Remember to use a different name (e.g., MallJobs1.dbm), so you don't overwrite your last assignment.
