ASSIGNMENT N° 2

Word

Date Due: October 19, 1999

CASE 4 W1.30 – Writing a Personal Letter with the Letter Template

Follow instructions on the book (Text 2), except for:

Step 7 – Since you are creating a small letter, change the spacing to double space. Leave 6 spaces between paragraphs, and indent the main body of the letter to at least 1.5". Justify your paragraph(s).

Step 7a – Highlight the name of the company in the return address. Change the font to bold and use a larger size. Change the font of the body of the letter from the date to the signature (size and style). You can use any font, as long as it looks good with the rest of the letter.

Step 7b – Leave more space for the greeting (without leaving blank spaces).

Step 8 – Save the letter using your first and last name AND the number w130. For example: "marySmith_w130". It is important to use both names and the underscore to separate your last name from the assignment number. This will help the TAs identify the author of the assignment, as well as which assignment the student is submitting. You will lose points if you don’t identify your assignments properly.

Step 9 – Change the font of both the return and delivery addresses (style and size). Do NOT print the envelope. Add it to the document instead. Do NOT submit a printed copy of your assignment. You can print one for your own records.

Step 11 – Email your assignment (see Assignment Drop Box).

CASE 2 W2.30 - Synergy
